Looks like we all jumped the gun when we recently reported the casting of Lilly Collins in the upcoming EVIL DEAD reboot – the in-demand actress has now dropped out due to a scheduling conflict.

Boooooo! Actually, we haven’t seen MIRROR MIRROR, so this could actually be a blessing in disguise.

So, with casting beginning anew – any suggestions who should play the lead role of Mia now?

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – it may be widely known as a remake, but there’s always a chance that this could prove to be a cunning continuation of the existing mythology instead – ie: new group of kids, same old cabin! I know I know, the cabin looked a little rough at the end of EVIL DEAD 2, but who’s to say it didn’t rebuild itself, and the Necromonicon found its way back from medieval times. C’mon, it could happen! Magic and stuff.

Here’s the official synopsis for those late to the party:

Mia and David, estranged siblings who have recently lost their mother (Mia’s taking it the hardest being that she’s the one who spent most days at the hospital watching her mother deteriorate) have reunited, along with some old friends and his David’s fiancee, for an intervention at THAT old cabin. It’s here that the near rehabilitated Mia will also toss the last of her drugs down the well and finally go cold turkey.

EVIL DEAD opens April 13th 2013, and will be directed by Fede Alvarez with Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert producing.

Phew! Got through the enter article without mentioning those eyebrows!

D’oh.
