Liam Hemsworth’s (aka younger brother of THOR Chris Hemsworth) career may soon blow up huge on a par with Robert Pattinson at his peak, due to his major roles in THE HUNGER GAMES as well as THE EXPENDABLES 2. In anticipation of this event director Philip Noyce (PATRIOT GAMES) has signed Hemsworth up as the lead in his time travel romance TIMELESS.

The film concerns a recently married young man whose wife unfortunately passes away. He inherits a fortune and uses the money to build a time machine to travel back and see her one last time and say all those things he never said. Awwwww

In fairness we’re sure there is more to the script than that and with the involvement of Noyce, who last directed SALT, there is bound to be a thriller element to the plot. The screenplay is written by Bill Kelly who wrote the charming Disney film ENCHANTED.

Relativity Media are the studio financing this endeavour with an eye on a 2013 release.
