The last LEPRECHAUN movie was ten years ago, ten years! I know you have all been waiting for the next instalment with baited breath since LEPRECHAUN: BACK 2 THA HOOD but turns out that they will just start over again.

Yes the franchise that gave us Jennifer Aniston in 1993 is getting the reboot/remake treatment under a new deal between Lionsgate and WWE films (yes, that WWE) as part of a two picture deal. What the other film is is anyone’s guess, probably a reboot of BATTLEFIELD EARTH.

The new film is set for a 2013 release but no writer, director or star has been scheduled as of yet. Maybe they should just call Warwick Davis again, because LIFE’S TOO SHORT taught us that he is fairly hard up and needs the cash. Failing that I don’t want to typecast, but has anyone talked to the awesome Peter Dinklage?
