With the PACIFIC RIM promotional push well underway at the moment, director Guillermo del Toro has been chatting about the various projects currently on his plate. One such project would be the proposed JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK film. After the success of Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL and current plans calling for MAN OF STEEL 2 and JUSTICE LEAGUE films, del Toro was asked how his JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK would exist in such a DC Universe.

Speaking to MTV, the director said, “The great thing about Dark Universe is you have this possibility of creating a supernatural group and you can play by different rules… but I would love to see the DC universe become as cohesive as the Marvel film universe. So if there’s any correlation, I will honour it.”

Made up of the darker characters of the DC world, the Justice League Dark team is made up of the likes of Swamp Thing, Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna, Zatara and Etrigan the Demon.

After del Toro’s recent claim that a HELLBOY 3 is “unlikely”, here’s hoping that the director can get to work on JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK as soon as possible.
