Currently in the middle of the media rounds that come with PACIFIC RIM, director Guillermo del Toro has been giving a bit of an update on where the JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK film is at. Speaking to Screen Rant, del Toro confirmed that he is still most definitely looking to develop the project for the big screen.

When asked what intrigues him about the film, del Toro said, “Monsters! More monsters! When I was following the DC comics in my youth, my favourites were Swamp Thing, Etrigan the Demon, Deadman…”

The director then added, “My earliest love was Constantine, and I love Zatanna, Destiny, the whole mythology. So we’re working on a really rich mythological environment.”

So, nothing too revealing, but it’s good to see that the film is still in the conscious of the powers that be. Here’s hoping that JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK moves into development sooner rather than later.
