Bwah-ha-ha! Sorry, but you have to laugh. Warner Bros owns the film rights to every single DC comic book character, yet they just cannot seem to get a shared movie universe off the ground. They’re literally four years behind the launch of their rival’s ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ (or MCU as it’s begun to be referred), trailing them by a full six movies. By the time the proposed JUSTICE LEAGUE movie would have hit in 2015, that figure will have rose to eleven(!) and at least one TV show. Even Fox have drafted in comic book legend Mark Millar to orchestratre their Marvel properties into a separate spin-off universe (that will in all likelihood cross with Marvel Studios’ one day, although we hope not given there’s a vast difference in quality control).

But now even 2015 looks to be a little shaky, with reports circulating that the newly turned in JUSTICE LEAGUE script is troubled indeed. The news first broke over at Badass Digest, where veteran movie journo Devin Faraci reports that Warner Bros have binned Will (GANGSTER SQUAD) Beall’s screenplay after deeming it “terrible”. So terrible, the project might even be as good as dead. Betcha Beall’s having a great day today!

With rumours still rife that MAN OF STEEL will actually be the jumping off point for their Justice League universe, we’ll have a better sense of where Warner Bros and DC are planning come June 14th. If they have any plans at all. Sort it out, guys. How hard can it be?!
