Remember that time before Batfleck, when Josh Brolin was seemingly a cert to land the Caped Crusader gig in Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL sequel? Well the actor has now been talking to Entertainment Wise about what exactly happened.

Brolin said, “Me and Zack had a conversation about it, and there were several reasons why we said it wasn’t the best idea on both sides. I had mine and Zack had his.”

Moving on to the topic of Affleck’s casting as the Dark Knight, he added, “People were so disrespectful. How can you blame an actor for acting? I understand you’re a fan, but people forget that actors are human. When you’re sitting in front of a computer it’s easy to go, ‘Well, I wish he would die. Send.’ But somebody’s going to read that. Their kids are going to read it and the wife is going to read it. We’re so computer-orientated that we forget.”

Whilst it seems as if Brolin’s moment to don the iconic Batsuit has passed, we’re fully on board with Ben Affleck and what he can bring to the role when the MAN OF STEEL sequel hits on 6th May, 2016.
