“Jeepers. Creepers. Where’d ya get those peepers?” or so goes the Johnny Mercer song. Well, much like The Creeper himself, it seems that the horror franchise is gearing up to return. Though it hasn’t taken 23 years (as it does with the films’ monstrous character), this sequel seems to have had trouble taking flight. It’s a rather puzzling case, as the first two films have made $120 million worldwide and enjoyed an avid cult following. Yet since 2003’s Jeepers Creepers 2, the third film (at one point titled Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral) has laid dormant. Well, according to the fine folks over at Shock Till You Drop, the invincible monster is about to rise again.

In fact their sources say that a day of shooting has already taken place! No doubt many will be excited to hear this news and director (of both films) Victor Salva, may feed that excitement more with a statement he made. When asked about this development, he simply said,“There may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras.” Sure sounds like a promising statement. The Jeepers Creepers films were great fun and while the second was not as scary, it was entertaining stuff all the same. So what thinks you, creatures of the night?
