If Orlando Bloom being recently talking up as Batman wasn’t bad enough… I guess the only thing you can say is that it’s been coming.

Following remakes of classics like HALLOWEEN, EVIL DEAD and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, the latest rumour is that Steven Spielberg’s iconic JAWS is next to get the remake treatment. Smile, you son of a bitch? If true, I’d rather not.

The source of the rumour is Mandy; the website where studios can advertise for production staff and crew members. A new request on the site is looking for staff for a JAWS remake, saying, “We will need to build sets quite early therefore we will be hiring partially prior to the official pre-production.” The film is to start filming in January 2015, if this is genuine.

The one shining light here is that anybody can post anything on the Mandy website, meaning that, hopefully, the original post is merely a piece of cyber-bullshit from somebody with far too much time on their hands.
