It’s being reported by Bleeding Cool that Britain’s own Jack O’Connell is apparently in the frame for a large part in J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: EPISODE VII.
Treat this as purely rumour for now, but the report goes on to say, “Jack O’Connell, who was excellent in TOWER BLOCK, HARRY BROWN, SKINS and many more, is a real contender for a key role in STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. I believe that he’s met with Abrams and the signs I’m getting are that this meeting went very well.”
As mentioned, treat this a rumour for now. Bleeding Cool is reporting to have a source close to the production, and they’ve been known to be on the money before. Still, take it with a pinch of salt at this point.
O’Connell is also known to many for his appearance in THIS IS ENGLAND and the brilliant-yet-depressing EDEN LAKE.
STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is currently scheduled for an 18th December, 2015 release.
