THE LOVE GURU star Ben Kingsley (sorry, ‘Sir’ Ben Kingsley) has been revealed to be the front-runner to portray the Big Bad in Marvel Studios’ IRON MAN 3. Though it isn’t yet known which character the actor will be playing, rumours that The Mandarin (one of ol’ shellhead’s most popular nemesi) will feature have once again been shot down.

Writer/director Shane Black recently promised us that the film will deal with more “real world” villains (read: ‘boring’), ruling out the wizardry of The Mandorin’s more magical world, with the story rumored to follow Warren Ellis’ acclaimed EXTREMIS arc, which deals with nanotechnology gone awry.

So, which Marvel universe super villain do you hope Kingsley will play?

IRON MAN 3 will begin filming this September with a release date set for May 3rd 2013. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE opens April 26th.
