Finders Keepers Records, in conjunction with Blazing Magnums Screenings and LovelockandLoad bring a great night of film and music to the Dancehouse Theatre, Manchester.

This Tuesday, 11th March, sees the return of the popular HOCUS FOCUS screenings as they present the brilliant Italian murder mystery THE CASE OF THE BLOODY IRIS.

“When two women are viciously slain in a luxury high-rise, a beautiful young model (Edwige Fenech of 5 DOLLS FOR AN AUGUST MOON) moves into one of their vacated apartments – and soon finds that she is now being stalked by the mysterious killer! The suspects include her ex-husband, a member of a group sex cult, a predatory lesbian neighbour, the deformed son of a sinister widow, and even the building’s handsome architect (George Hilton of MASSACRE TIME) who suffers from a paralysing fear of blood. Can she expose the masked maniac with a taste for luscious women and depraved murder before she becomes the next victim?”

Made in 1972, it’s a fantastic giallo, well worth catching on the big screen.

Bookending the film will be a chance to groove to the some fantastic soundtrack music provided by DJ Andy Votel (last seen at the recent GOBLIN gig in Manchester), Doug Shipton and Sean Canty in the Theatre Bar.

Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets are £5 advance available here.

The HOCUS FOCUS screenings will be monthly, with the following rare treats to look forward to:

April 15th – THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING WOMAN

May 13th – ALL THE COLOURS OF THE DARK + YELLOW (short)

June 17th – THE DEVIL (aka DIABEL,1972 Polish directed by Andrzej (POSSESSION) Zulawski)
