Fans of the HALLOWEEN series, get ready to rejoice. Whilst there’s been vanilla Blu-ray releases of most films in the series, the only standout release was last year’s 35th anniversary Blu-ray Steelbook edition of John Carpenter’s original HALLOWEEN (review here). Superbly remastered, that particular release also featured some nice new extras, such as following star Jamie Lee Curtis at a convention appearance. Now comes word that every HALLOWEEN movie to date are going to be released in a Blu-ray boxset.

To be released through Anchor Bay and Scream Factory, this impending release will be titled HALLOWEEN: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION and will an impressive 15 discs. Prepare to see Jamie Lee’s Laurie Strode running from The Shape for the first two movies, then take in the oft-derided HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, see Michael Myers return to hunt down niece Jamie Lloyd, see things go a little odd with HALLOWEEN VI: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS, see Laurie’s 20 year reunion with her brother, see Busta Rhymes bust out some kung fu on Michael (yes, really), see Zombie’s reimagining, and much, much more. Yes, there’s even the long-demanded producer’s cut of THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS.

Set for a 23rd September release in the US, the official press release reads:

Last year, the horror classic “Halloween” celebrated 35 years of terror for those willing to partake in its vision of unrelenting horror. But that was only the beginning of the celebration. What producers Moustapha Akkad, Debra Hill and Irwin Yablans, writer/director John Carpenter and stars Jamie Lee Curtis & Donald Pleasence started in 1978 has transformed into one of the most durable, iconic – and copiously studied — horror film franchises ever created. Before Jason, before Freddy, and before Jigsaw, there was…Michael.  Over the years, audiences have lived and relived the terrors of Michael Myers through ten feature films, as well as various re-edits and alternate versions. Yet to date, the complete saga of Michael Myers could only be told in pieces, in individual DVD and Blu-ray releases, with the rights spread across multiple home entertainment studios.

Until now…
