Deadline is reporting that Glenn Close is the latest name to board James Gunn’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. She will apparently be playing a high up member of the Nova Corps. Close is best known for her roles in the likes of FATAL ATTRACTION and 101 DALMATIONS.

Already confirmed for Gunn’s film are Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond and Lee Pace. Rumours also suggest that Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler and John C. Reilly may be up for roles in the space opera.

Part of Marvel’s Phase Two of films – also including IRON MAN 3, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and THE AVENGERS 2 – GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is set for a 14th August, 2014 release.
