Legendary Pictures’ reboot of GODZILLA began filming in Vancouver this week, and along with the official cast confirmation (see below), we’ve now got some footage of the shoot itself courtesy of a local news report. No sight of the Big Guy himself yet, obviously, but it’s still interesting to see the movie finally come together. See the video in full below, followed by a quick greeting from director Gareth Edwards (MONSTERS) as he kicks off the first day of shooting. Enjoy…

Day One:

GODZILLA stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (KICK-ASS), Elizabeth Olsen (SILENT HOUSE), Bryan Cranston (TOTAL RECALL), Juliette Binoche (COSMOPOLIS), David Strathairn (ALPHAS), Ken Watanabe (BATMAN BEGINS) and Richard T. Jones (SUPER 8), and will open in cinemas on May 16th 2014.
