Following on from the news that a sequel to his directorial debut MONSTERS is now in active development, details have emerged on what could be Gareth Edwards sophomore film (if his Godzilla reboot doesn’t get in there first). FOREVER has been on Edwards’ slate for a while now, but according to producer Timur Bekmambetov in a recent interview with Bleeding Cool, a test film has been shot and the script is being polished by in-demand writer Dante Harper (his work is soon to be seen in HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS and the Tom Cruise vehicle ALL YOU NEED IS KILL).

The top-secret sci-fi flick, once pitched by Edwards himself as a ‘robot STAR WARS’, tells the story of a young boy travelling space with a droid companion to discover the origins of mankind in a universe populated by robots. Hope they have more luck in getting answers than Team Prometheus did.
