A recent rumour claimed that DIVERGENT’s Miles Teller was one of the names in the frame to play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in Josh Trank’s upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR reboot. Well it appears that the actor has at least had some conversation with the guys at 20th Century Fox.

When asked by Fandango about the FF reboot, Teller said, “Uh, you know, I don’t know. If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I’ll also be working… it’s like seven months out of the year. Which is not a bad problem.”

Personally, I just don’t see Reed Richards being played by somebody so relatively young. Teller’s a good actor, he just doesn’t carry the feel of seniority and experience that a Reeds Richards needs to give off.

The other names that were previously linked to the Reed Richards role are GAME OF THRONES’ Kit Harrington and THIS IS ENGLAND’s Jack O’Connell. It’s also claimed that BYZANTIUM’s Saoirse Ronan, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET’s Margot Robbie and 127 HOURS’ Kate Mara are up for the Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, role. As for Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, the constant rumour is that CHRONICLE’s Michael B. Jordan is being lined up for the part, whilst there’s no real news on Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, apart from Terry Crews declaring a wish to play the character.

At present, Trank’s FANTASTIC FOUR is targeting a 6th March, 2015 release.
