Love him or hate him, Eli Roth is always at least busy. The HOSTEL helmer has THE GREEN INFERNO hitting later this year, then he’s directing Keanu Reeves (good look with that) in KNOCK KNOCK. Now comes word that he’s also going to be producing a supernatural thriller.

Very little is known about this supernatural effort right now, although Roth has been working on the script with AFTERSHOCK’s Nicholas Lopez, whilst KNOCK KNOCK’s Colleen Camp is also on board as a producer. The Las Vegas-shot film will be directed by local director Jessica Chandler. It’s claimed that the shoot will only be for 18 days and that the budget will be extremely tight.

News on this ghost story comes via the Las Vegas Review, with the casting director recently putting out a call that reads, “Right now, we’re casting for principal speaking roles in the film, and I would like to use as many local actors and non-actors as I can find… I need two little girls – one 6-years-old, one 8-years-old – I need college students, people in their 60s and 70s, all races, all types of individuals. I don’t care if you’ve ever acted before in your life. I don’t care if you’re a rancher.”

From the above casting call, it seems as if the film is still on the lookout for certain important roles, and it appears that the production is going to be kept low-key and smaller scale.

Expect to hear more on this untitled project as it becomes available.
