With Marvel Studios’ long-rumoured DOCTOR STRANGE now happening, all eyes are on just who may play the Sorcerer Supreme, Stephen Strange. Recent speculation seems to suggest that Jared Leto, Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch are the current favourites, with an announcement expected in the next month or so. Away from the Master of the Mystic Arts, now comes some word on another possible addition to the movie.

Speaking to IGN, Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez was asked about whether he’s joining the film. He responded, “We’re talking. We’ve been talking.” Ramirez has been working with DOCTOR STRANGE director Scott Derrickson on DELIVER US FROM EVIL, and the role he’s up for is believed to NOT be Doctor Strange, with early rumour suggesting he could be being lined up to play the villainous Baron Mordo.

No release date is known for DOCTOR STRANGE at this point, although Marvel Studios have two dates currently reserved for unknown films on 8th July, 2016 and 5th May, 2017.

Expect more on this as it develops.
