Before Dawn, directed by and starring Emmerdale’s Dominic Brunt, has been wowing audiences in festivals in Leicester, Sheffield and Cardiff since its first appearances at FrightFest in London and Grimmfest in Manchester, and has subsequently gone down a storm on the festival circuit in Belgium, Sweden and Canada. The movie, a striking and haunting story of a young couple’s disintegrating relationship set against the backdrop of a zombie outbreak, is released on DVD in February and in an exclusive interview to be published next month in Starburst Dominic tells us that his next horror movie is already in the planning stages…

“The next one’s still in the early stages of development but it’ll be a fairly brutal and violent film about debt collectors! Hopefully it’ll be bad enough to be able to make it to the horror festivals, it’ll be really brutal and quite tense from the start; it’ll be about how far people can be pushed before they decide they have to get out of it, a revenge tale in the classic mould. I’ll probably direct and edit but I wouldn’t produce and I wouldn’t act in it.”

Dominic Brunt talks about the making of Before Dawn in Starburst Magazine issue 386, available from 15th February.

Before Dawn enjoys a limited UK cinema release on 22nd February and is released on DVD in the UK on 25th February (you can pre-order your copy below).
