Actor Vincent D’Onofrio was a solid dependable supporting presence in films from the late 80’s and early 90’s. Even if you don’t know his name you’ll recognise him from films like FULL METAL JACKET, STRANGE DAYS and MEN IN BLACK. Now he is best known for TV starring in one of the endless LAW AND ORDER franchises. D’Onofrio has now made his directorial debut however, and surprisingly it’s a horror/musical.

Weird huh? The film follows a band who camp in the woods to get inspiration for their latest songs and then get stalked by a masked lunatic. It looks like the kind of genre mash up that is usually right up my alley although it may just fall apart under its own weirdness. The film is released by Tribeca film and will debut on demand in the states this December followed by a short theatrical run in January. Hopefully a UK release will follow soon after.
