Movie News: DC’s Lesser Known Characters Getting Their Own Movies?

DC Movies News

BleedingCool is reporting that DC and Warner Brothers are planning to bring some of DC’s lesser known characters to the big screen with some relatively low budget affairs.

The report claims, “with David Goyer attached, Warners were looking at movie treatments for the likes of Suicide Squad, Booster Gold, Deathstroke, Team 7 and more. Suicide Squad is one specifically mentioned as only needing a $40 million budget, pre-marketing. Some could be made for as little as $20 million.”

It’s also claimed that the current DC/WB plan of attack is to release two movies a year; one in the spring and one in the winter. These would all tie into the world that this year’s MAN OF STEEL created.

Expect more on this as it develops.
