Last seen (by me anyway) having a bomb exploderize inside her face in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III, Keri Russell is the latest to join the ever-expanding cast of Matt (CLOVERFIELD) Reeves’ sequel to RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

Set 15 years after the events of the original, the film will feature a dual narrative – one focussing on a group of scientists (of which Russell is presumably one of) trying to survive the monkey madness, and the other centring on Andy Serkis’ Caesar fighting to maintain control of the ape armies.

Rounding out the cast so far are Jason Clark (DEATH RACE), Kodi-Smit McPhee (THE ROAD), and Gary Oldman (no intro necessary). Russell will next be seen in the frankly terrifying looking (but reportedly shite) alien abduction flick, DARK SKIES, which hits the UK April 5th (check the trailer out HERE).

We’ll have more APES news as it drops…
