The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (hopefully a working title) director Marc Webb has found himself a Harry Osbourne in the shape of Chronicle actor Dane DeHaan. DeHaan has been connected to the role for a few weeks now, but was confirmed by Webb today via Twitter.

Anybody who has seen Chronicle (and if you haven’t, get and watch it before reading on), in which DeHaan plays a teenager who becomes corrupted by the powers he gains, will see that this is an inspired bit of casting.

Information on the film is still being kept tightly under wraps, but given the shadowy presence that Norman Osbourne played in the first film, is the introduction of Harry an indication that Norman may play a larger part in the sequel? More importantly, is it a case of Marvel doing a Dark Knight and bringing their heroes biggest enemy in for part 2?

Further to earlier reports, Jaime Foxx has now been confirmed for the role of Electro!
