Christian Bale as Batman

Right, get that salt ready…

Latino Review have picked up on a story that claims Warner Brothers are so desperate to get Christian Bale back in the cape and cowl for the MAN OF STEEL sequel that they have offered him a $50 million payday. Bale’s pay is dependent on the film’s success, but, based on MAN OF STEEL’s box office, it’s likely to be in the region of $50 million.

Whilst Latino Review’s stories can be bang-on or way off, this one actually comes from a new book release. Titled, BEYOND BATMAN: THE UNAUTHORIZED TRUE STORY OF CHRISTIAN BALE AND HIS DARK KNIGHT DILEMMA, the book claims to have sources close to the production of Chris Nolan’s Bat trilogy, MAN OF STEEL, and the MAN OF STEEL sequel. Take all of this with a huge grain of salt for now.

According to various other sources, the WB have actually lined Josh Brolin up as their new Caped Crusader, although that’s far from confirmed at this stage.

In other Bat-news, Scott Adkins’ official fansite claims that the actor has already auditioned for the Batman role. Best known for his roles in UNIVERSAL SOLDER: DAY OF RECKONING, THE EXPENDABLES 2 and ZERO DARK THIRTY, Adkins is a martial artist in the form of a young Jean-Claude Van Damme. Again, take this story with a pinch of salt.
