After the news that Josh Brolin will not be wrangling Velociraptors in Universal’s Jurassic World, The Wrap reported today who now has his eye on the same role… Arise Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation, Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty), who has made his way in the comedy field and next year will be starring in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, looks to get in on the anticipated fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise. Pratt, if he signs on the dotted line, will join the likes of Ty Simpkins (Insidious), Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3), who are already attached to the film. Also Life of Pi’s Irrfan Khan is discussed as being involved in a supporting role.

The Jurassic Park saga has been far from acclaimed but it is nonetheless beloved and Steven Spielberg’s landmark first film is rightly praised as a blockbuster classic. The title of this long-developing sequel denotes a grander scale and we hope that all involved make a movie that manages to get nearer to the awe and excitement of the original. Spielberg will be returning to produce the film, alongside Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley, whereas directing duties will go to Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), working off the screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly.

Jurassic World stomps its way into the packed 2015 cinema schedule and will be causing ripples in cinema audiences’ Cokes on June 12th. Lets see if the dinosaurs still rule the cinema, like they once ruled the Earth!
