Captain America himself Chris Evans is in negotiations to star in the long in development Hollywood debut of THE HOST director Bong Joon-Ho. Entitled SNOW PIERCER, the film takes place entirely on a train in a snowbound future.

The film is based on a French graphic novel called TRANSPERCENEIGE and the script has been written by Joon-Ho and OLDBOY director Park Chan-Wook. The story is set after an apocalypse with a new ice age in full effect and follows a bunch of survivors on the train who find that class struggles and division rear their ugly heads.

Variety is reporting the story and mentions that the project has enough heat that it is also attracting a whole bunch of Hollywood top tier talent.

If you haven’t seen THE HOST, then what are you doing still reading this?! It’s one of the best monster movies of the last decade and proves Joon-Ho can handle action as well as drama! SNOW PIERCER has instantly become a project we will monitor with great interest.
