Stephen King is weird. A literary genius granted but, y’know, madder than a sack of rabid rabbits at Christmas time.

Of his weird collection of weirdly weirdness – random town-sized glass bowls from the heavens anyone? – CARRIE is a universally acknowledged highlight.

The newest screen adaption, due for release on November 29th in Blighty, has been chugging along confidently atop the hype train and this newest trailer follows on nicely.

And by nicely I of course mean ‘is deeply, soul-shatteringly unsettling.’

We see more of Julian Moore’s deranged, ultra-protective, dogmatic, religious-nut mother and of course the titular social-outcast come Matilda hell spawn Carrie, played by the imperious ‘hipper-than-hip-right-now’ Chloë Grace Moretz.

You’re invited to call Carrie at the end of the trailer (via an American number naturally) and it’s, uh… well it’s… it’s CARRIE, so don’t go expecting the heartwarming sound of children’s laughter and babbling brooks. Check it out…
