Sad new for those of us eagerly awaiting what Kimberley Pierce and Chloe Grace Moretz had in store with their re-adaptation of Stephen King’s 1976 novel Carrie, Sony have decided to bump the flick back by seven months, meaning we won’t get to see it until sometime in October. Why? Nobody’s saying. But to be fair October is the optimum time to ensure healthy box office for a horror flick, given that everbody’s in the Halloween spirit. It’s either that or the film is a stinker and the studio has got cold feet. We truly hope for the former. While we wait to find out, here’s the newly released poster for the flick. Quite why they’d make that announcement and release a poster that still had the old date on it is a little baffling to say the least. Still, it is bloody awesome!

CARRIE is due in US cinemas October 15th, UK date still pending.
