MGM have revealed when they will debut their new take on Stephen King’s CARRIE – pencil March 15th 2013 into your diaries, folks.

Directed by Kimberly Peirce (BOYS DON’T CRY) from a screenplay by debut feature film writer (but GLEE producer no less!) Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, CARRIE will see Chloe Moretz (HUGO) take on the role originally made famous by Sissy Spacek in 1976. Can the team succeed where so many others have failed and actually bring Stephen King’s classic story to contemporary audiences? We’re surprisingly confident that they will, especially with the Moretz casting coup.

Not sure what’s happening today – this is the second time, following on from the OLDBOY story earlier, that we’re actually admitting to looking forward to a remake. Huh.
