It’s the team up nobody dreamed of, but according to Latino Review, Marvel are considering Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler for roles in its forthcoming big screen Guardians Of The Galaxy adaptation. What roles they are in line for is unknown, but the smart money seems to be on Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

To be fair to Marvel, they have made casting choices in the past that seem odd on paper but work really well onscreen, so it’s too early really for the forums to be set alight with nay-sayers (although I’m sure that won’t stop them).

No casting has been confirmed for Guardians yet, but everyone from Joseph Gordon Levitt to Wes Bentley to Henry Cavill have had their names put forward at some point so at this stage it’s anyone’s guess!

Let’s hope Kevin James and Rob Schneider are busy on other projects!

Guardians Of The Galaxy will hit UK cinemas on 1st August 2014.
