Robert Redford and Anthony Mackie have been discussing their roles in the Cap sequel, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Thing is, Redford maybe revealed a bit more than he was supposed to. HereBeGeeks is reporting what was said. Warning of potential spoilers ahead…

Discussing his role as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, in the film, Mackie said, “He is very involved. I’m in about 60% of the movie. Captain America, the Black Widow and The Falcon take down the Winter Soldier together, and they solve the crime.”

Whilst that’s nothing particular new, Redford went on to give a bit too much away on his character. Playing high ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Alexander Pierce, the acting icon revealed he will actually be playing a villain the film. Redford said, “I like the idea of playing a villain. I did that just because it’s a different thing for me to do.”

I guess that suggests that Redford’s Pierce will be going rogue somewhere down the line.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is set for a 4th April, 2014 release.
