Long-rumoured to be a part of Marvel Studios’ PHASE THREE of films, it appears that, bad pun intended, the cat is out of the bag in regards to BLACK PANTHER. Whilst DOCTOR STRANGE and ANT-MAN have been more-or-less confirmed as being part of PHASE THREE, Stan Lee recently gave a fairly solid indication that BLACK PANTHER will join the Marvel cinematic universe.

Speaking at New York’s Wizard World Comic-Con, Stan ‘The Man’ revealed, “They’re working on ANT-MAN. Working on DOCTOR STRANGE. They’re working on GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. They’re working on God knows what. Did I say BLACK PANTHER also? They’re the ones I know about.”

With a Black Panther solo outing now seemingly confirmed, that opens up the question of who will step into the role of T’Challa. Previously, Morris Chestnut was strongly linked to the role, plus there was the news last week that Vin Diesel was reportedly wanted for a meeting by Marvel.

Expect more on this as it develops.
