When David S. Goyer said that they’re “further along than people might think” on the development of Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman, he wasn’t kidding. In fact, photography starts this weekend! Sure, it’s only second unit stuff, but still. The scene is that of a college football match between rival teams from Gotham City University and Metropolis State University, and could very likely serve as the background to an encounter between Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, although neither Affleck nor Cavill are believed to be in attendance (that stuff can conceivably be handled later). With a reported shoot time of just 20 minutes (though that doesn’t sound right at all), the purpose of the day’s cinematography will simply be to capture some football action instead. Today’s update gives us a first look at the teams’ uniforms, courtesy of the folks at batman-news. Check ‘em out below…

So, will you be rooting for Gotham, or Metropolis?

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN opens July 17th 2015.
