Another day, another Batman…

Whereas it’s been previously claimed that Josh Brolin is the current front-runner for an older, grizzled Batman in the MAN OF STEEL sequel, it was also reported yesterday that Christian Bale has been offered $50 million to return to the cape and cowl. Well, add another name to the list, as The Daily Express claims that Orlando Bloom is a shoe-in to play the Caped Crusader.

A Warner Bros. source apparently told the paper, “Orlando looks odds-on to get the part even before our first casting call. He would be perfect to play off Henry and the US audiences would be happy with two Brits as the joint male leads.”

The same report claims that 36-year-old Bloom is expected to sign a multi-picture deal, which would include the MAN OF STEEL sequel, JUSTICE LEAGUE and several other projects.

Personally, this writer cannot think of a worse choice for the Caped Crusader and I hope this this is just a load of Bat-bollocks.
