After Armie Hammer landed the role of Batman in George Miller’s failed JUSTICE LEAGUE, the actor was presumed to be a front-runner for the Caped Crusader in the MAN OF STEEL sequel. Well, apparently Hammer is no longer interested in any Bat-shenanigans.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor said, “I’m actually not a big fan of superhero films. If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what’s the point?”

Hammer was also asked who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman, to which he replied, “I would have to go with Batman. He’s got more technology and he actually has a piece of kryptonite that Superman actually gave him to beat him.”

Regardless of Hammer’s interest or lack thereoff, recent news suggests that Josh Brolin is the current front-runner for an older, grizzled version of the World’s Greatest Detective.

The currently untitled MAN OF STEEL sequel is scheduled for a 2015 release.
