Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett’s wonderful graphic novel BOILERPLATE: HISTORY’S MECHANICAL MARVEL is heading to the big-screen courtesy of Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams’ his production company Bad Wobot, sorry, Robot.

Though in development for just over a year now, screenwriters JD Payne and Patrick McKay are the first to be tasked with bringing to life the tale of the late 19th Century robot built to replace men in times of war, and the mystery of his subsequent disappearance.
