In some unsurprising news, Pepper Potts apparently won’t be making an appearance in the upcoming AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. We didn’t particularly expect to see Tony Stark’s other-half pop up at any point, but Gwyneth Paltrow was recently asked about this a possible Avengers outing by HitFix.

The actress said, “I don’t think so, nobody has asked me. What is it called? AGE OF ULTRON? Okay. Well, no, I don’t think so. I haven’t heard any… my phone has not rung for AVENGERS 2.”

Despite no further IRON MAN films currently planned, Paltrow did reveal that she’d be up for a Rescue film if the chance came along. Rescue is Pepper Potts’ alias in the comic-book world when she dons one of Stark’s discarded Iron Man suits. Asked on a Rescue film, Paltrow said, “That would be good. That would be fun.”

We’re prepared to go out on a limb and say that there’s about as much chance of a Rescue solo film as there is of Joel Schumacher direct another Batman film.

With or without Gwyneth, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is set for a 1st May, 2015 release.
