Academy Award nominee Scott Frank has revealed that he is rewriting Fox’s upcoming ASSASSIN’S CREED movie.

He told Creative Screenwriting Magazine “I’m rewriting ASSASSIN’S CREED right now, and what I love about it is that I’ve never adapted a video game before and it has its own set of challenges. Especially in the world of rewrites, I love trying to do something completely different if I can.”

His previous screenwriting credits include MINORITY REPORT, OUT OF SIGHT, MARLEY & ME and most recently THE WOLVERINE, so could this news alongside Michael Fassbender’s involvement spell a game-to-movie adaptation worth getting excited about?

We certainly hope so, we will just have wait for the slated release of June 19th 2015 to find out.
