With the trailer recently dropping for DC Animated Films’ SON OF BATMAN, the official artwork, synopsis and release date have been released. Check out the DVD and Blu-ray artwork for the 6th May release.

As for the official word of the adaptation of Grant Morrison’s BATMAN AND SON, the synopsis reads:

“Batman is shocked to learn that not only does he have a son, but the boy’s mother is Talia, the daughter of the international overlord, Ra’s Al Ghul. Nevertheless, the Dark Knight and his wilful boy (as the new Robin) become uneasy allies when Talia enlists a team of ninja man-bats on a criminal enterprise with international consequences.”

Despite last year meeting his demise in the comic book world, it will be good to see young Damian and his ‘quirks’ on screen. In terms of voice talent, we have Jason O’Mara as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Stuart Allen as Damian Wayne/Robin, Morena Baccarin as Talia Al Ghul, Giancarlo Esposito as Ra’s Al Ghul, David McCallum as Alfred Pennyworth, Xander Berkeley as Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat and Thomas Gibson as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke.
