Big Hero 6

Since Disney purchased Marvel three years ago we have all been wondering if and when an animated version of one of Marvel’s titles would get off the ground. Assumptions were made that somewhere down the line Pixar would be involved since they did such a great job with THE INCREDIBLES. But who would it be to get the animated treatment? Well now if a new rumour is to be believed, everyone’s predictions were way off!

BIG HERO 6 are a team of state sanctioned superheroes at the disposal of the Japanese government with an organisation named the ‘Giri’ formed to identify and recruit potential members. Their line-up includes some never heard of them’s like Silver Samurai, Sunfire, GoGo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Hiro Takachiho and Baymax.

Disney is planning to make an animated film of this rather obscure title with WINNIE THE POOH director Don Hall pulling the strings. Word round the campfire is that Disney will announce this big stylee at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con and plan to release the film in 2014.
