Recent rumours have been circulating that we’ll be seeing the Sinister Six in one of the upcoming THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN sequels. A second Spidey film is set for release next year, with a third and fourth to follow. Already confirmed to appear in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 are Rhino, Electro and the Green Goblin, with Menace also rumoured at this point. Crave Online managed to ask director Marc Webb on what villains we can expect to see in the next few films.

The director tease, “What about the Gentleman? Think about the Gentleman. I’m just saying. There’s your little titbit. Think about the Gentleman.”

The Gentleman is a rather obscure Spider-Man villain by the name of Gustav Fiers. At one point, he is responsible for putting together a Sinister Six team of Doctor Octopus, Electro, Vulture, Chameleon, Mysterio and Pity. The character also has ties to the death of Peter Parker’s parents.

It stands to be seen just how serious Webb’s comments on, but expect more on this as it becomes available.
