After seeing his projects PARADISE LOST and DRACULA: YEAR ZERO fall apart in recent years, Alex Proyas (THE CROW; DARK CITY) has thankfully not bailed on Hollywood and is instead signing on to adapt Daniel H.Wilson’s novel AMPED.

Wilson also wrote the book ROBOPOCALYPSE which Steven Spielberg is set to direct shortly starring Chris Hemsworth. AMPED tells the story of a battle between humans and nano enhanced humans and the man that must go on the run after joining the persecuted underclass of ‘Amps’. The rights to the novel have recently been snapped up by Lionsgate and production house Working Title is working on bringing the story to the screen.

No word yet on who is adapting the screenplay but expect the buzz to build as the buzz for the Drew Goddard scripted ROBOPOCALYPSE gets louder.
