Twentieth Century Fox have released their first promos for ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, a reinterpretation of the sixteenth president’s life that sees him warring with the undead after his mother is killed by a creature of the night.

Though writer Seth Grahame-Green has been dining out on his period genre mash-ups since his novel PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES hit in ’09, this marks the first of its ilk to hit multiplexes with more to follow. The most exciting element for us personally is Fox’s choice of director – anybody who’s seen the underrated NIGHT WATCH in 2004 will attest that Timur Bekmambetov is a ferocious talent. Oh, and Tim Burton is also on producing duties which can’t hurt.

Anyway, here’s the poster that you’re here to see. There’s two versions due to it being one of those nifty lenticular things that shifts focus (look out for it when you’re next in your local). Check ’em out and let us know what you think…

ABRAHAM LICOLN – VAMPIRE HUNTER stars Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and Alan Tudyk. It opens next year on June 22nd Stateside, and August 2nd in the UK.
