The popular found-footage series may be taking a year off, but it’ll make up for this in 2014. Next year will see not one but two PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films, and new details have been announced.

The first, now titled PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES, will be released on 3rd January 2014. This isn’t part of the main series but is a Latino-themed spin-off. Following a Catholic-based investigation of the supernatural, it’s written and directed by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 – 4 screenwriter Christopher Landon.

THE MARKED ONES will be followed by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5, the sixth film in the franchise, which will be released on 24th October 2014 – in series tradition, in time for Hallowe’en.

With entire productions that cost what Spielberg would pay an extra for an hour’s work, yet box office figures many indie filmmakers would kill for, it’s no wonder this series keeps on coming. Are you looking forward to more scares? Let us know in the comments.
