It should come as no surprise, but longtime Spielberg collaborator and all round busiest woman in Hollywood Kathleen Kennedy will no longer be producing the forthcoming JURASSIC PARK 4.

Considering Kennedy is now overseeing Lucasfilm since its acquisition by Disney last year, and is currently producing approximately 4000 new STAR WARS films, it’s no surprise that she hasn’t got time for JURASSIC PARK as well.

The news was dropped on Twitter by Kennedy’s long term producing partner and husband Frank Marshall, who Tweeted:

“No, Ms. Kennedy has moved onto Star Wars and will not be producing JP4. She’s traded raptors for TIE fighters.”

Between them, the pair of Kennedy and Marshall have collaborated with Spielberg for over thirty years. This will be the first instalment in the JURASSIC PARK franchise not to have Kennedy involved.

JURASSIC PARK is scheduled to be released in 2014, and the Kathleen Kennedy produced STAR WARS EPISODE VII will follow it a year later.
