The truth is definitely out there as Mitch Pileggi has confirmed via Twitter that he will be included in the revival of THE X-FILES.

“Very happy to announce that Walter Skinner will once again be getting all grumpy and bitchy with his two wayward kids. Very happy,” he tweeted.

Pileggi’s character of FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner appeared in all nine seasons of the show’s original run as well as the two subsequent movies.

Since THE X-FILES, Pileggi hasn’t exactly been taking it easy. He’s appeared in many different guises in many different projects, with his recurring roles as Neo-Nazi Ernest Darby in SONS OF ANARCHY and Harris Ryland in DALLAS being his most recent.
