With the cast continuing to come together for James Wan’s Aquaman, the Jason Momoa-starrer has moved to bring in another new addition.

As per Variety, Michael Beach has been brought in to join his former Stargate: Atlantis cohort Momoa. Beach will be playing Jesse Kane in the film, a character described as a “high-seas hijacker”. This isn’t the actor’s first foray in to deep waters, with him also having a role in James Cameron’s The Abyss.

Already on board for Aquaman are Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Kidman, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ludi Lin, and Patrick Wilson as the villainous Ocean Master.

Whilst Momoa’s King of the Atlantis will be present when Zack Snyder’s Justice League arrives this November, Aquaman itself will swim to the silver screen in December 2018.
