We reported a little while back that an OMEN TV series was being developed by Lifetime. Titled DAMIEN, Deadline is reporting that Bradley James will be taking on the lead role of the antichrist himself, Damien Thorn. James will be recognisable to many for playing King Arthur in BBC’s MERLIN.

The show itself will centre on the adult Damien as he comes to be aware of his true calling and of the satanic forces that surround him, with him having to deal with his dark and sinister destiny. Six episodes of the show have been ordered at this stage, with ELIZABETH’s Shekhar Kapur to direct the first episode.

THE WALKING DEAD’s Glen Mazzara will be acting as showrunner and writer on DAMIEN, with Ross Fineman, Pancho Mansfield and Kapur serving as executive producers.

DAMIEN will debut at some point in 2015.
