Remember how the Men in Black and Jump Street franchises were coming together for a crossover movie to be directed by James Bobin? Well, it appears that the crossover film could now be in jeopardy.

Jonah Hill, who starred in the two Jump Street movies, told the Toronto Star that the film may never come to be. Hill said, “I had the idea, but I doubt that movie will ever get made,” before adding that “they’re trying to make all the deals, but it’s kind of impossible with all the Men in Black stuff.”

Hill explained, “The Jump Street films were so fun to make and the whole joke of them was they were making fun of remakes and sequels and reboots, and then now it’s become a giant sequel, reboot. It’s almost become what we were making fun of and it’s hard to maintain that joke when it’s so high stakes.”

So, it appears that the Men in Black and Jump Street crossover may never actually see the light of day, although a 23 Jump Street is more likely. Even that, though, may be problematic to put together given the hectic schedules of co-stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.
